I am so excited to share what will be a new short series on the blog: Olivia’s bedroom makeover!
Up until our recent move, my girls had always shared a room. I bought bedding from PBK 7 years ago for my oldest, added another set when we got twin beds in the room, and even bought the matching crib bumper when I had Olivia. To say I am sick of this bedding would be a huge understatement. But, new bedding is expensive! I couldn’t justify the cost when her bedding was in perfectly good condition. Enter Grandma’s quilts:
Only THE most adorable quilts I have ever seen in my entire life. Vintage feedsack fabrics, hand quilted!! White background. Pretty much my dream quilts. I have wanted these quilts since I was a little girl. I have many childhood memories surrounding these quilts. Grandma would lay them on the couch when we were sick. They came boating with us (I know!? Who would take these gorgeous quilts boating!?), she did once jump in to save one when it took a dive into the water. Thank heavens!! Here’s the real kicker: they are still in perfect condition! Not a spot on them. These precious quilts are now mine, and I couldn’t be more excited!!
They are the inspiration for Olivia’s room. I cannot wait to see them on her little antique beds (which also belonged to my Grandma.) Each week I will be sharing a project from her room makeover! I will leave you today with a few of my inspiration pictures.

Ok, LOVE! Those really are beautiful quilts, and I think you are doing them a great justice by decorating Livy’s room around them. Your inspiration pictures are great too! I can’t wait to see more!
LOVE LOVE the yellow bed!
