I just returned from a great trip to Georgia and Alabama. It had been over 3 years since I had been “home”. It is always nice to go visit, connect with old friends and see family. However, I do not miss the humidity. I think I am officially a Utah girl.
One of the best parts of the trip was getting to see Jessie. Of course, we had to go thrifting! She is one lucky girl, with a lot of awesome thrift stores to choose from! We hit up a couple stores, before heading to a few antique malls as well.
First we stopped by Goodwill. I was really impressed with the organization, and the size of the store. I was on the hunt for a navy blazer. But, ended up with 2 pairs of shoes instead. Don’t worry, they will get a good cleaning before I wear them.
Aldo Wedges: $12 (We both thought that was a little high, but they are like new.)
Maryjanes: $5 (I will replace the bows.)
Jessie has grown an insane milkglass collection (she needs to do a collection post), almost 100% thrifted. I had high hopes of finding some thrifted milkglass. It was a bust. But, I did score some great, really unique pieces at the antique mall.
You know how I love Fenton, and I hadn’t ever seen this covered dish before. I love the details! Especially the scallop edge.
This little pedestal dish is now residing beside my kitchen sick, holding my soap.
I had seen this vase at the Antique mall for $18. It was one I had wanted for awhile, and had almost bought several times. I just couldn’t ever stomach the price. So, imagine my surprise when we got back to Jessie’s house, and her husband had brought her another one from his business trip (Yes, best husband ever award). She was kind enough to gift me her first one, that he purchased for… $.29. I love it!!
Thanks Jessie for the fun thrifting trip! I sure wish we lived closer!!
Have you had any good scores lately!? We’d love to hear about them!
