After what seems like months, Olivia’s room is finally finished. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out! It is exactly as I envisioned it. Vintage, with modern touches.
This was not an easy room to photograph!? Or maybe I need a different lens? Could be I just need Triana to come take the pictures. Hard to say…
As a little refresher, the room before:
And here it is today:
I didn’t replace any of the furnishings. I just changed the bedding, art, and baskets in her bookcase.
The beds are antiques given to me by my Mom. Painted white with a million cans of glossy white spray paint. The bookcase is Ikea.
You can read all about the quilts here.
There are a lot of little details that I love in her room.
From vintage pillowcases found on Etsy.
To the lampshade I embellished.
Triana was nice enough to let me borrow these ballerina pictures that I am absolutely in love with!!
And my Mom drew these pictures when she was a little girl. They were in my room growing up, and now I couldn’t be happier that Olivia’s gets to have them in her room.
Her room came together on a pretty low budget of $200. The only things I purchased were the dustruffles, pillow shams, pillow cases, and the new baskets in her bookcase. All the pillow fabrics were leftover from this project. The embroidery hoops were collected over time (thanks to Triana!), and the quote picture was one of the things I got from my Favorite Things Party.
Let me know if you have any source questions, I’d be happy to help.

It looks great! I love it! Great job!
This is one of the sweetest little girls’ rooms I have ever laid eyes on. Not only is it oozing with eye candy and good taste, but there is a tender heart behind all of your choices. All of the sentimental touches are what make it the most magical. Bravo.
Thank you!

Thank you!! You are quickly becoming my new favorite blogger
I ADORE this room. ADORE. Can you come decorate my house?
I need help arranging some bear things for my son’s room. It’s borderline too cluttered & I don’t know how to organize my design…. oh well.
After seeing this, I am in danger of redecorating my entire house. Husband won’t be happy.
Every time I see your frames, I think I’m seeing the word “love.” Not sure if you intended for that, but would be super cute if you used little black frames to make an E. And then I don’t know what you’d use for V.
